Your data security is our concern
We appreciate your interest in our company and our products and services and want you to feel secure when you visit our websites, especially as regards the protection of your personal data. We take data security very seriously, and it almost goes without saying we fully comply with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act.
We want you to know whenever we collect data, and how it will be used. We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that we follow data-protection rules, and that our external service providers do likewise.
Personal data is information that identifies you, such as your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. Disclosure of personal data is not a prerequisite for using our website. In certain instances, we may need your name, address and other details so that we can provide the services you request.
This applies, for example, when we answer specific queries, and send you information or items you may have ordered. When such details are required, we will explain why. Furthermore, we only store and process data which is provided voluntarily or automatically by you.
If you utilise our services, we will usually only collect the data we require to perform those services. If we request additional information, such additional information is voluntary, not mandatory. The processing of personal data is only carried out in order to provide the requested service and to protect our own business interests.
The purpose of personal data
When you provide us with your personal data, we usually use it to respond to your requests, process your order, or to allow you to access specific information or offers. In order to maintain customer relationships it may also be necessary for us, or a service provider appointed by us, to use personal data to contact you about product offers which may be useful for your business needs, or to conduct online surveys so that we can better deal with the tasks and requirements of our customers.
Naturally, we will respect your wishes if you prefer not to allow us to use your personal data to support our customer relationship (especially for direct marketing or market research). We will never sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties.
We will use the personal data you provide online only for the purposes disclosed, and will not collect, process, use or disclose your personal data to third parties without your permission.
The collection of personal data and the transmission of such data to state institutions and authorities that are entitled to receive such information shall only be carried out within the scope of the relevant laws, or if we are obliged to collect and transmit such data due to a judicial ruling. Our own employees and the service companies appointed by us are obliged to maintain discretion and to comply with the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act.
Non-personal data that is collected automatically
For organisational and technical reasons, the following data is stored when using our websites: the names of the accessed sites, the browser used and the operating system, the date and time of access, the search engines used, the names of downloaded files, and your IP address.
We analyse this technical data anonymously, and only for statistical purposes, in order to continue to optimise our Internet presence, and to make our online services even more attractive. This anonymous data is stored separately from personal information on secure internal systems and does not allow identification of an individual. Your personal data and your privacy are therefore protected at all times.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "Cookies", text files which are stored on your computer, to help analyse how users use the website. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to produce reports on website activities for their operators, and to provide other services related to the use of the website, and of the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
Through the use of this website, you express your consent to the processing of data collected by Google about you, in the manner described above, and for the purposes previously mentioned.
The data collection and storage can be revoked at any time with future effect. Given the debate about the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp ()" and therefore IP addresses are only processed further in abbreviated form which prevents them being directly linked to a particular individual.
When you visit one of our websites, it may be that we store information in the form of cookies on your computer. Cookies are small text files which are sent from a web server to your browser and stored on the hard drive of your computer.
No personal user-data is stored, just an IP address, information which serves to automatically recognise you when your next visit our websites, and which makes site-navigation easier. Cookies allow us, for example, to match our website contents to your interests, or to save your password so you do not have to enter it again each time.
Of course, you can also view our websites without cookies. If you do not wish us to recognise your computer, the storage of cookies on your hard drive can prevented by selecting "Do not accept cookies" in your browser settings. Please refer to your browser manual instructions to discover the details of this feature. If you decide not to accept cookies, this can limit the functions available to you on our websites.
No personal information will be accepted from persons under 18 years of age without the permission of the parents or guardian of the child. We do not request personal information from children and young people, nor do we collect personal data or forward it to third parties.
We have taken appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction, and access by unauthorised parties. All our employees, and all third parties involved in data processing, are bound by the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act in respect of the confidential handling of personal data.
In the event of personal data being collected and processed, the information will be transferred in encrypted form to prevent misuse of the data by third parties. Our security measures are improved on an ongoing basis in accordance with the development of technical standards.
